বলেছি হাসিনার বিচারের প্রয়োজনীয়তার কথা, নির্বাচন পেছানোর সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক নেই: সারজিস

 

জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির (এনসিপি) মুখ্য সংগঠক (উত্তরাঞ্চল) সারজিস আলম সম্প্রতি বলেছেন, ক্ষমতাচ্যুত প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে দেশে এনে ফাঁসির মঞ্চে না নেওয়া পর্যন্ত কেউ যেন নির্বাচনের কথা না বলে।

রাজধানীর বাংলামোটরের রূপায়ণ টাওয়ারে এনসিপি আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এক সাংবাদিক প্রশ্ন করেন, অনেকে ওই বক্তব্যের সমালোচনা করেছেন। বক্তব্যটা কি দলগত নাকি সারজিসের ব্যক্তিগত, তা জানতে চান তিনি।

জবাবে সারজিস আলম বলেন, 'সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হচ্ছে যখন  হাজারের ওপর মানুষকে এভাবে হত্যা করা হয়েছে, এখনো আমাদের মায়েরা-বাবারা তাদের সন্তানের লাশ কোথায় দাফন করা হয়েছে, কোথায় আছে এটা খুঁজে বেড়াচ্ছে।'

'পরিপ্রেক্ষিত এমন ছিল যে আমরা রায়েরবাজারে কবরস্থানে গিয়েছি যেখানে শতাধিক লাশ বেওয়ারিশভাবে দাফন করা হয়েছে। অথচ তাদের প্রত্যেকেরই ওয়ারিশ রয়েছে। আমাদের সামনে দুজন মা অঝোরে কান্না করছিলেন,' বলেন তিনি।

সারজিস বলেন, 'আমরা আমাদের জায়গা থেকে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে অনুভূতি সহমর্মিতা থাকে তাহলে একজন বিবেকবান মানুষ এটুকু দাবি করবে, যে খুনির নির্দেশে এত বড় একটি হত্যাকাণ্ড হলো, অন্তত ওই খুনির বিচারটা আমরা এই বাংলাদেশে দেখতে চাই।'

'আমি শুধু আমার ওই শহীদের মা যে কথাটি বলেছেন, সেই কথাটিই আমার মুখ দিয়ে আপনাদের সামনে তুলে ধরেছি পুরো বাংলাদেশের কাছে। এটা শুধু ওই দুই শহীদের মায়ের কথা না। পুরো বাংলাদেশের এই অভ্যুত্থানে আহত সকল যোদ্ধা এবং শহীদ পরিবারের একই কথা,' যোগ করেন তিনি।

সারজিস বলেন, 'আমরা জানি না যে আমাদের যে রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো রয়েছে, নির্বাচনকেন্দ্রিক একটা শব্দ এলে কেন তারা শুধু নির্বাচন পেছানোর ভয় করেন? কেন শুধু আমাদের মাথায় একটা নির্বাচন হবে, আমরা দ্রুততম সময়ের মধ্যে ক্ষমতায় যাব, এই চিন্তা কাজ করে?'

'বরং, আমি মনে করি যে আমাদের প্রত্যেকটি রাজনৈতিক দলের অন্তর্বর্তী সরকার এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট আইন ও বিচার বিভাগ, স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়কে এ বিষয়ে প্রত্যক্ষ ও পরোক্ষভাবে চাপ দেওয়া উচিত। আমাদের এই শহীদ পরিবার, আহত যোদ্ধা এবং আন্দোলনকারীদের কাছে যেতে হবে। নির্বাচনের পথেও তো যেতে হবে। তখন যেন আমরা বলতে পারি যে আমরা ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে খুনি হাসিনার বিচার নিশ্চিত করে এসেছি বাকিদের বিচারও নিশ্চিত হবে,' বলেন এনসিপির এই নেতা।

তিনি বলেন, 'এই সামগ্রিক বিষয়টি, এই চাপটি তুলে ধরতে এবং এটার প্রয়োজনীয়তা তুলে ধরতে সে কথাটি বলা। এটার সঙ্গে সরাসরি নির্বাচন পিছিয়ে দেওয়ার যে সম্পর্ক দেখানো হচ্ছে, এটি কখনো সেভাবে সম্পর্কিত না।'
